I was born in the middle of a snow storm in the middle of a steel town in the middle of a movement in the middle of a war in the middle of nothing in the middle of everything on the President’s birthday. It was my birthday, too. And since then I have learned, defied, traveled, worked, loved, hated, lost, won, loved some more, and grown. Among other things.
I am starting this blog, or should I say picking it up again, because I need to practice this craft of writing.
I changed the name because I changed the name.

The Duchess of Amboy is a play on The Amboy Dukes, the name of Ted Nugent’s original band. And since I hold court at Amboy Estates, well, you know……I am the Duchess.
